The Hyundai Creta EV has been revealed, offering a driving range of 473 km.

Hyundai Motor India today unveiled the Hyundai Creta EV, which will be launched on January 17 at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The Hyundai Creta Electric will compete with other electric SUVs such as the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv, MG ZS EV, Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, and more.

The Hyundai Creta Electric offers two battery options: 51.4kWh and 42kWh. The range for the 51.4kWh battery is claimed to be 473 km on a full charge, while the 42kWh battery offers a range of 390 km on a full charge.

The Hyundai Creta Electric can charge from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes with a DC fast charger. Using an 11kW wall-box AC home charger, it takes approximately 4 hours for a full 10% to 100% charge.

Hyundai Creta EV Design and Features:

In terms of design, Hyundai has made only minor changes to distinguish the Creta Electric from the ICE-powered Creta. Most body panels remain the same, and only a few new soft plastic parts have been added. These include new front and rear bumpers with pixel-like detailing, a sealed front grille design, and new aero-optimized alloy wheels. The front bumper now has a more angular look, making the Creta Electric similar to the N Line variant. A cool new feature is the active aero flaps on the front bumper, which improve aerodynamic efficiency. Additionally, the charging port has been placed on the front nose of the SUV.

Inside, the Creta Electric keeps the dual 10.25-inch screen setup but features a new steering wheel from the overseas Kona model. It also has a new floating center console design. In terms of features, it includes a panoramic sunroof, vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, 360-degree cameras, an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS), and Hyundai’s digital key feature.

How Safe is the Hyundai Creta EV?

The Creta EV is expected to come with 6 airbags as standard, along with features like Hill Start Assist, a 360-degree camera, Vehicle Stability Control, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and all-wheel disc brakes. Higher-spec variants will likely offer a Level 2 ADAS safety suite, which may include features such as adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist.

Why wait for Hyundai Creta EV?

If you’re considering buying a compact electric SUV for your family, the Hyundai Creta EV might be worth waiting for. It will offer many of the same features as the standard Hyundai Creta, but with the added benefit of being an electric vehicle, making it a great option for families.
